Getting them onto your television

The method depends on your television model and its software version, and Samsung documents it on its own support site. Two things worth knowing about our files before you start.

  • They are 16:9 at 3840 x 2160, so they match a 4K screen with no cropping and no black bars.
  • They are saved as WebP. If your television or its app refuses that format, convert the file to JPEG first. Any image tool does this in one step.

  • We are not affiliated with Samsung, and we sell nothing. The Frame is their product; these images are ours.
  • These are generated images, not photographs. A city view here is an interpretation, not a document: details do not always match the real place.
  • The prompt shown on each page describes the scene. It was written from the image, so it is not a transcript of the original generation.
  • We publish one format and one aspect ratio. No portrait version, no other resolution.

Questions

Do I need an Art Store subscription to use these?
Not for the files on this site. Each artwork page links to the full-size image at no cost. What your own television requires is a separate matter, documented by Samsung.
What resolution are the images?
3840 x 2160 pixels, in 16:9. That is the resolution of a 4K screen.
Are these photographs of the real cities?
No. They were generated with DALL-E. They carry the name of a city because that is what they evoke, not because they document it.
May I use them?
Yes, on your own screens, at home: your television, your computer, your phone. They remain the work of the Pictural Art studio, so no resale, no redistribution and no commercial use. For anything else, write to contact@picturalart.com.
